If Paine’s robe was longer and didn’t have a hole in it, she would have taken this. I’ll give Rikku an edge over Yuna for a slightly bolder look. Not sure why all three have flame wrist details around their cuffs, though.

No surprise here, Yuna looks the classiest out of the lot. Coolest staff, no cutouts, no feathers (or is that hair?). Slight edge for 2nd to Rikku, because I really don’t like Paine’s tunic and hood situation.

The belly cutout theme on Paine is starting to get old. Does she buy her clothes that way or cut holes herself? Rikku’s crazy turban headscarf is too much, although the detailing on her robe is feisty. Yuna’s is a little too bland. She also appears to have a random tooth dangling from her staff; don’t want to know what that’s about.

The most important part of witch/mage costumes to me is the hat. Yuna’s has the best color and least ridiculous tassel. Rikku’s green/pink color scheme is so distracting and non-black magey. Despite the silly midriff, at least Paine has some black on her.

What is this, Hocus Pocus and everyone is Sarah Jessica Parker? Or worse yet, part jesters? Once again, Yuna is winning (probably by default). No weird stomach cutouts and no tacky knee highs. Earrings go on your ears, Paine. I can’t decide what’s worse, Paine’s dumb pants or the ugly knee highs on Rikku. I think the knee highs.

What’s with the tiered straps they’re all wearing in different locations? It’s either a hip-hugger, shredded skirt, or waist-cincher, but not all three. I actually like Paine’s thigh-high bellbottoms, although it looks like they’re nailed into her legs to stay up. She wins for being the only girl that can probably move in her outfit; Rikku’s legs look glued together and Yuna’s going to trip after one step.

Rikku looks like she’s part bird. I like Yuna’s ruffles and flowy skirt. Paine…puffy sleeves? Noooooo. Paine still gets 2nd because…I’m scared of birds.

These get more offensive the longer you look at them. Agree with Erin on Rikku’s birdness–even she looks confused by this outfit. Paine is all over the place with perma-popped collar, bra peek, and what appears to be thigh-high stockings that match her white shorts perfectly? Yuna’s dress actually looks wearable, love the short ruffle detailing and layered skirts, plus super comfy boots.

I wish I had a better view of Yuna’s sword; the hilt looks pretty cool! I also like her shoulder pads. Rikku has definitely improved here, but the rounded toe/Mary Jane type footwear is a little goofy looking. Paine isn’t properly armored out: the off-the-shoulder number restricts arm movement AND looks like the top of a prom dress circa 1991.

I actually like Rikku’s outfit here. She looks like a ninja android, and her shoulder shields are interesting but not over the top. Yuna looks totally out of place in this garb, like her head was Photoshopped onto someone else’s body. And again with the pooch window! Paine’s fauxhawk wins this outfit for her, which–based on amount of straps we can see from the back–is probably cheap and awful-looking from the front.

All three are glorified bikinis, but somehow I’m most drawn to their shoes. Rikku’s are boring, but Paine’s heels seem terrible for thieving. Is Yuna wearing two kinds of socks? Is she cold? The rest of the outfit tells me otherwise.

These are all bad. Really bad. I think Paine’s heels and whale tail are the biggest offenders. Wait. They all would have whale tails based on the hip straps. Slight edge to Yuna for color palette, Rikku’s is too dull.

Paine looks hunched over in…pain, and nothing about that outfit is ready for fighting. To top it off, five different shades of purple, which I didn’t know existed. Yuna’s layered skirt is pretty attractive in spite of being held together by haphazard stitches. I’m confused by her outer, gravity-defying socks. Rikku isn’t worth commenting on, except I think something died on her arms.

I think Yuna pulls it off the best, since she is the only one to not resort to needless midriff exposure. Paine’s popped collar gives her the slight edge over Rikku. 1st Yuna. 2nd Paine. 3rd Rikku.

While I think the belly button cutout on Paine is kind of weird, I really like the color palette. I think she also wins for most impressive gun. Yuna is wearing jorts but I think it kind of works nicely with her fanny pack. Rikku’s high cut briefs and what I think is a blue visor ruin her outfit for me.

I like everything about Paine’s outfit except the pooch window. Her skirt-wing is a battle-ready length and her shirt is an intriguing combination of business casual and hockey star. Yuna’s outfit is just a sluttier version of her FFX get-up with way too much cleavage, although the colors work on her. Rikku looks like she fell in a vat of sunless tanner; she was probably distracted by the shirt that appears to be slowly choking her to death.
